Introducing Yorkshire & Cleveland RDA Region
Our 23 Riding for the Disabled groups are divided into three counties, West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire and Cleveland. Each county has its own Chairman, Instructors and Physiotherapist who ensure that all riders and carriage drivers receive a high standard of professional tuition, tailored to their personal ambitions and capabilities.
In this wide-spread region, we have a mix of urban and rural groups. Most groups are situated in the more densely populated areas, but some of our riders can take full advantage of the beautiful countryside in which their groups are based.

We have 2 large, thriving, purpose-built centres, the Unicorn Centre near Middlesbrough and Middleton Park in Leeds. Both have excellent indoor and outdoor facilities, fully equipped to allow access and use by people with a range of disabilities, and a full time staff to cater for the needs of horses and riders alike. Our other 21 groups are smaller, but just as important, and can offer you a friendly welcome at weekly lessons and social or fundraising activities.

This website is designed to provide you with information on how YOU can get involved with the RDA in our region. Please contact us if you're interested in becoming a rider, volunteer or fundraiser. We'd love to hear from you!
